Distribution
Seven species native to southern Africa; one species in Iraq.
Etymology
Dimorphotheca (from the Gr. δυμορφή, dimorfi, two-formed; θήκη, thēkē, a case, alluding to the dimorphic achenes). The plants of this genus are known in cultivation as Cape Marigold (Eng.). Cultivated in Iraq.
