An erect or somewhat diffuse herb to 1 m tall or more, the spreading branches glabrate and striate-angled; leaves pinnate to bipinnate, the leaflets thin, ovate or lanceolate, the terminal one the largest and up to 5 cm long, caudate-acuminate at the apex, the margins serrate
