Colombian departments: Amazonas, Antioquia, Boyacá, Caquetá, Casanare, Cauca, Chocó, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Risaralda, Santander, Tolima, Valle del Cauca, Vaupés, Vichada.

Grand Cayman. N. America, Greater Antilles, northern S. America, Hawaii and central Europe. The distribution given is that of var. hieracifolia; other varieties occur in various regions but have not been found in the Cayman Islands.
