Aromatic herb to 1 m tall (rarely more), the stems puberulous; leaves mostly 2–6 cm long and 0.5–2 cm broad, at least the upper ones subsessile, acute or obtuse at the apex, the margins obscurely toothed with glandular serrations, puberulous and glandular on both sides. Corymbs mostly 2–4 cm across; heads 4–5 mm long
